NADOLNY, Edward P. of Chelsea, formerly of Everett, entered into rest unexpectedly, December 25, 2013 in the Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett. He was 84 years of age. Born in Boston, Edward lived in Everett for many years before residing in the Chelsea Soldiers Home. He was retired from Market Forge where he worked as an assembler for commercial equipment. Beloved husband of the late Rose (Salamone). Dear and devoted father of Daniel Nadolny and Roseann Paradiso and her life partner, George Steuber of Everett. Brother of the late Charles and Alex Nadolny and Helen Carberry. Loving grandfather of Stephanie and Samuel Paradiso, III and great-grandfather of 3 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is his sister-in-law, Mary Nadolny of Everett. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Edward’s visiting hours in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) EVERETT, Tuesday morning, Dec. 31 from 9-10:30 a.m. followed by his funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, 487 Broadway, Everett, at 11 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. CHIAVELLI, Donald E.-A longtime Everett resident, passed away on December 22, 2013, at 81 years. Beloved husband of Carole (O’Neil) Chiavelli. Loving father of James Chiavelli and his wife Carla of Everett, Lauren Chiavelli of Malden, Mark Chiavelli of Everett, and Christopher Chiavelli and his wife Mary of Winchester. Dear brother of Dorothy LeBlanc and her husband Robert of Saugus. He is also survived by 7 cherished grandchildren and 1 cherished great grandchild. He was a retired Malden school teacher, and served on the Board of Trustees for the Everett Library Department. DECOLA, Nicholas A.Jr. 64 a resident of Malden passed away on Dec 9 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Nicholas was born on January 1, 1949 in Boston one of three children of Nicholas and Anna (Tarrallo) of Medford. Nicholas was raised in Medford and graduated from North Cambridge Catholic High School Class of 1966. He continued his education and graduated from Northeastern University. Nicholas served in the US Army during Vietnam. Nicholas worked for the Department of Defense as a Certified Fraud Examiner. In his spare time, Nicholas enjoyed bowling with the Malden Industrial Bowling League and playing golf and chess. He was the beloved husband of Elaine (Finlay) DeCola and loving son of Nicholas and Anna (Tarrallo) of Medford. Nicholas was the brother of James and his wife Catherine DeCola and Angela and her husband James Wantman both of No Reading and brother-in-law of Allan Finlay and his late wife Jane, John Finlay and his wife Jo-Ann both of Melrose and David and his wife Geri Finlay of Malden. Nicholas is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. GOODINE, Helen M. (DiStefano) 85, a resident of Lynn formerly of Everett passed away on December 2 at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital. Helen was born in Boston on February 13, 1928 and she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Jennie (Papa) DiStefano. Helen was a long time Everett resident for over 50 years only recently moving to Lynn to live with her daughter. Helen and her husband Francis who predeceased her in 1994, made their home in Everett raising their two daughters. Besides her home and her children, Helen worked as a home health aide caring for others with Intercity. Helen was the beloved wife of the late Francis Goodine and loving mother of Marita Murray of Lynn and Linda DiStefano of Lynn. She is also survived by her sister Mary Maselli of CT and by 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 3:30 from the Murphy O’Hara Funeral Home 519 Broadway Everett. A period of visitation will be held from 2 to 4pm. Interment will be held in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
