RAGUCCI, Dr. Antoinette T. Of Everett, on Oct. 30. Age 90. Born in Everett in 1922. Everett High School graduate 1940. Daughter of the late Alfonso & Virginia (Macario). Sister of Marjorie Baldassare of Everett, the late Robert & Charles Ragucci. Also survived by 11 nieces & nephews & many grand nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Salvatore Rocco & Sons Funeral Home, 331 Main St., EVERETT, Friday, Nov. 2, at 9 o'clock. Funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Everett, at 11. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours will be prior to Mass from 9-10:30. In lieu of flowers donations in Ms. Ragucci's memory may be made to the Union of Concerned Scientists, 2 Brattle Sq., Cambridge, MA 02138. Entombment in the Holy Cross Mausoleum in Malden. Upon graduation from Everett High School, Ms. Ragucci completed her training at Waltham Hospital & became a cadet nurse filling in for nurses who joined the Army or Navy. She went onto earn her BS in Nursing at Boston College & her MS in Rehabilitation Nursing at Boston University. Ms. Ragucci found nursing as a way to help her country during WW II. One of her passions was the application of nursing & medical practices in different cultures, so she followed up with a PhD in Cultural Anthropology. While studying for her Doctorate she traveled to Peru to help establish a clinic in Arequipa, her dissertation explored health practices amoung Italian women in Boston's North End. She shared her interests through teaching, she taught at Boston Collge for 12 years, & later moved to Ohio where she finished her career at Case Western Reserve University. She was an independent woman who lived a full & interesting life.

MURPHY, Alberta S. (Black) of Worcester, entered into rest on Monday, October 29, 2012, in St. Vincent's Hospital in Worcester. Born in New York City, New York, Alberta lived in Worcester for many years. She worked as a fabricator who manufactured styrofoam plates. Dear and devoted mother of James A. Murphy and his wife, Julie of Saugus and Lisa A. Murphy of Worcester. Sister of Carol Colangelo of Tewksbury, Ann Marie Perry of Attleboro and the late Francis Campanella. Loving Grandmother of Arianna and Nathaniel Murphy, Ashley, Nicholas and Joy Murphy. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visitation in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) EVERETT, Saturday, Nov. 3, at 1 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. Burial services will be private. Dante Mariani

October 16, 1923 to October 29, 2012


   MARIANI, Mr. Dante "Danny", of Melrose, formerly of Everett and Malden, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2012 , at the age of 89. Dante, who was lovingly known as "Danny" was born on October 16, 1923, one of four children of the late Sabatino Mariani and Carina (DiBenedetto) Mariani. Raised and educated in East Boston, he served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and was honorably discharged as a Private First Class. For over 45 years, Danny worked in chemistry for Boston Gas Company. A devout man, Mr. Mariani lived his faith every day. While living in Malden, he was a daily communicant at St. Mary's Church in Revere, and later at Immaculate Conception Church in Everett for many years. Danny loved to eat. He was always eating endless bowls of pasta, and never said "no" to his favorite sweets, including ice cream, cake, custard, and strawberry shortcake. He enjoyed eating more than cooking, but was willing to help as long as it involved a big meal at the end. A good natured man, Danny will be lovingly remembered for always being happy and enjoying a good laugh. Danny was the beloved husband of the late Louise (Benedetto) Mariani with whom he shared 53 years of marriage. Cherished brother of Mary Stellato and her late husband Alfred V. Stellato of Revere, Emily R. D'Amico and her late husband Vincent D'Amico of Melrose, the late Edmund Mariani, Dominic Mariani, Jennie DeFlice, Peter Mariani, Samuel Mariani, Louis Mariani, Albert DiNicola, Etterina DiNicola. Loving uncle of many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Lawrence E. Denish

   DENISH, Mr. Lawrence E. "Bunker", a lifelong resident of Everett, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, October 25, 2012, at the age of 87. Mr. Denish was born June 17, 1925 in Everett, one of five children of the late Lawrence L. and Marie F. (Green) Denish. Mr. Denish was raised in Everett and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Lawrence who was lovingly known as "Bunker" was a member of the DAV Chapter 51 in Everett, and the Everett Elks Club. For many years, he worked at the Monsanto Chemical Company in Everett. He was devoted to his family and a faithful parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church where he served as an Usher for many years. He will be remembered for his love of bowling, especially with his beloved family and friends. Bunker was the beloved husband of the late Barbara T. (Faucher) Denish with whom he shared 56 years of marriage. Devoted father of Lawrence L. Denish and his wife JoEllen of Everett, John F. Denish of Pittsburgh, PA, Kathleen A. Mattei and her late husband Pasquale "Rick" Mattei of Littleton, NH, Francis W. Denish of Everett, Margaret C. Lever and her husband Harvey of Everett, Marie A. Hidden and her late husband Bruce Hidden of Revere, William G. Denish and his wife Gail of Everett, Joseph R. Denish and his wife Beth of Peabody, Paul E. Denish of Medford, Barbara E.
